Ontario native Joey Bruni realized his passion for art at an early age always exploring new ways to express himself. He went on to study art & design at Durham College, excelling in photography, illustration and painting.

Inspired by extreme contrast in colours, textures and scenery, Joey is drawn to landscapes that embrace opposing elements He creates fluid metaphors on canvas evoking a full spectrum of sensations. 

Using photography as the foundation, his ability to capture the ‘unseen’ is illustrated in his Urban Abstract series. 

In this series, Joey has united his passion for painting and photography. Working with images he’s captured across Canada and the United States, Joey’s use of paint - angular strokes and a powerful palette – creates an imagery that reflects a sense of discovery.

Joey currently lives in Toronto, where he regularly paints commissioned pieces and exhibits his work.
